Processing

Tests & Techniques used to process milk.

Milk processing involves several steps, including milk reception, standardization, pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging. Each step is essential in producing high-quality milk products that are safe for consumption, have a longer shelf life, and possess the desired texture, flavor, and aroma.

Milk Reception: This is the first step in milk processing. We collect raw cow’s milk from our partner farms, and before accepting it, we perform a series of quality tests to ensure that it meets our strict quality standards. These tests include checking the milk’s composition, including fat, protein, and lactose content. We also check for any signs of contamination and ensure that the milk is free from antibiotics and other harmful substances.

Standardization: In this step, we adjust the milk’s fat and protein content to meet the desired level. This step is crucial in ensuring consistent product quality and meeting regulatory requirements. We use State-of-the-Art Technology to ensure accurate standardization of our milk products.

Pasteurization: This is another critical step in milk processing. We heat the milk to a specific temperature and hold it for a certain time to kill any harmful bacteria and pathogens that may be present in raw milk. This step is critical in ensuring our products are safe for consumption. We use the latest technology to ensure that our products are pasteurized at the optimal temperature and time to maximize product safety and shelf life.

Homogenization: This is the process of breaking down the fat molecules in milk to create a smooth and uniform texture. This step is essential to ensure that our milk products have a consistent texture and mouthfeel. We use advanced homogenization technology to ensure that our products are of the highest quality.

Packaging: The final step in milk processing. We use modern packaging technology to ensure that our products are hygienically packaged and have a longer shelf life. We use aseptic packaging that helps preserve the product’s freshness and flavour.

At Swastika we strive to improve quality of our milk products that are not only safe for consumption but also adhere to strict quality control measures throughout the process to exceed our customers’ expectations.
